At the Paws, Claws and Talons Foundation, we are building a “Biological Engine” fueled by gardens, bugs, and community heart. While our main pantry is already up and running, we are looking for two very special types of “Nodes” to help us scale up our mission: a home for the greens and a home for the treats.
We are looking for Nest Navigators—people who want to be the whimsical heartbeat of these local outposts. If you have a corner of your property that isn’t doing much, it could be the key to keeping local pets healthy and happy.
I. The Bramble Buffet (The Engine & The Greenhouse)
This is where our Soil-to-Sweets Society works their magic to create raw fuel for the foundation. This Node actually has two distinct “zones” that work together:
- The Breakdown Zone (Compost & Bug Bar): This is the gritty heart of our soil-building. We need a tucked-away spot for our composting systems and our bug bioreactors. It needs to be level, accessible, and “out of sight, out of mind” from your main social areas.
- The Bloom Zone (The Greenhouse): Once the soil is ready, it moves here. We need a sun-kissed footprint (6–8 hours of light) for a greenhouse structure where we grow the herbs and greens that power our residents.
- The Footprint: We are looking for a flat-ish patch of grass, gravel, or an old concrete pad (around 10×12 or 12×20).
II. The Morsel Menagerie (The Bakery & Dehydration Station)
This is our creative “bakery” where the Soil-to-Sweets Society transforms harvests into shelf-stable treats. It’s a clean, dry zone focused on dehydration and prep.
- The Clean Zone: We need a sturdy, weather-tight outbuilding, a finished shed, or a clean, dry garage bay that can be dedicated to snack prep.
- Air & Power: This area needs good ventilation and access to a standard outlet for our dehydration equipment.
- Critter-Proof: Since we are making tasty treats, the space must be secure from uninvited local wildlife and free of dampness.
- Easy Access: Can our team reach this spot easily to drop off fresh harvests from the Bramble Buffet and pick up finished goodies for the Pantry?
Our “Good Neighbor” Promise
We want to be the best houseguests you’ve ever had. Our goal is to be practically invisible to your daily routine. Every spot we use has to meet our “Happy Home” standards:
- Shhh!: Our work is quiet. You might hear the low hum of a ventilation fan or a dehydrator, but that’s about it.
- Personal Space: We set up specific paths so our team stays in their zone and never bubbles into your private home life.
- Tidy Toes: We keep our areas clean, organized, and looking sharp. We treat your property with the respect it deserves.
Does your property pass the test? Whether you want to provide the space or step up as our next Nest Navigator, we’d love to chat. Drop us a message to schedule a quick visit! We’ll take a stroll with you to check the footprint and talk about how we can grow this mission together.
