The Paws Claws and Talons Foundation is proud to pull back the curtain on our central supply hub, offering a transparent look at the resources currently fueling our unified mission. We view our organization as a prestigious, scientific, and community-driven institution—a “Biological Engine” dedicated to the precise care of the animals within our stewardship. Our current inventory reflects a high-level commitment to excellence, featuring a robust selection of nutritional formulas and essential infrastructure to support our dedicated Caretakers.
The Zero-Cost Nutritional Pantry: Comprehensive Food Inventory
Central to our mission is our Zero-Cost Food Pantry. We believe that basic nutrition is a fundamental right for every animal under a steward’s care, and as such, all food items in our inventory are provided at no cost to the community. Based on our current “Biological Engine” audit, we have the following specialized and general nutritional assets available:
For Our Feline Companions We have a significant supply of Authority Urinary Tract Health formulas, including both dry kibble and individual 3oz canned portions (Chicken Entrée in Gravy), specifically designed to support pH balance and bladder health. Additionally, we have various canned options like Friskies Gravy Sensations, Fancy Feast (Pate and Grilled varieties), and Purina One focused on specialized needs such as hairball control and indoor health. For kittens, we are stocking Purina Kitten Chow (Nurture formula) to support early-stage development.
For Our Canine Companions Our canine pantry is currently stocked with high-protein options such as Nature’s Recipe Grain-Free (Salmon, Sweet Potato, and Pumpkin recipe) and large-scale supplies of Pedigree Chopped Ground Dinner (Beef and Chicken flavors). We also house bulk dry storage of Ol’ Roy and Authority Adult formulas, along with specialized Authority Skin & Coat support. For hydration and supplement delivery, we have several cases of Pedigree Choice Cuts in gravy.
Small Animal and Exotic Nutrition The foundation is prepared to support smaller species with Kaytee Forti-Diet Pro Health for hamsters and gerbils, Full Cheeks guinea pig and rabbit pellets, and specialized food for rats and mice. We also have high-protein ZuPreem options for those managing feathered or exotic stewardships.
Infrastructure and Habitats: Low-Cost Resource Assets
Beyond nutrition, our “Skilled Stewardships” manage a variety of high-quality hardware and environmental supplies. To ensure the sustainability of our “Biological Engine,” these non-food supplies are offered at a low cost. Our Engineers have vetted these items for structural integrity and safety:
Specialized Habitats and Caging Our inventory features a premium selection of hutch-style wooden enclosures, which are specifically designed for rabbits, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, and other exotic mammals. These provide a secure, natural-feeling environment for species with sensitive housing requirements. We also have several modular small-animal habitats featuring integrated exercise wheels, water bottles, and clear-view tubing systems. For feline enrichment, we are offering multi-level carpeted cat trees. Our canine infrastructure includes heavy-duty wire crates (Small to Large) and specialized “Greenbrier Kennel Club” litter pans for puppies or small dogs.
Travel and Safety Equipment To facilitate safe movement, we have a selection of hard-shell animal carriers and soft-sided transport bags. We also house specialized waste management tools, such as the “Jumbo Jaws” heavy-duty scoopers, and gravity-fed hydration systems to ensure consistent water access for all residents.
Environmental and Seasonal Protection Our Growers have secured critical seasonal infrastructure to maintain the environmental integrity of the facility. This includes triple-stacked straw bales for premium insulation and a large inventory of thermal fleece blankets and padded bedding to safeguard against temperature fluctuations, providing our Caretakers with the tools they need to keep animals comfortable in any climate.
Operational Protocols: Delivery and Retrieval Services
To maintain the efficiency and prestige of our foundation, we have established clear protocols for the distribution of these resources. We are committed to removing barriers to care while ensuring our logistics remain sustainable and organized.
Complimentary Delivery For residents located within the Hastings city limits, we are pleased to offer complimentary delivery services. This initiative allows us to bring essential pantry items and low-cost supplies directly to your door, ensuring that no animal goes without due to transportation limitations.
By-Appointment Retrieval For our partners and community members in the surrounding areas, we operate a by-appointment-only pick-up system. This protocol ensures that our team can provide personalized attention to each request and prepare your specific “Impact” package before you arrive.
