Mojo Projects Wishlist

Trinkets and Treasures Needed

The Mojo Projects are where creativity meets conservation. We specialize in turning everyday household extras into high-value enrichment for our residents. These items might look like clutter in a junk drawer, but in the hands of our Nest Navigators, they become the building blocks for intricate puzzles, cozy nests, and stimulating habitats. Check your cabinets and closets for these specific treasures to help our animals thrive.

Textiles and Tying Materials

Soft goods and sturdy strings are the foundation of our handmade hammocks and climbing nets. We use these to create tactile environments that encourage natural behaviors.

  • Fabric Scraps and Textiles: Any clean remnants of fleece, cotton, or denim.
  • Rope, Yarn, and String: Cotton or hemp varieties are perfect for weaving.
  • Sisal: Sturdy natural fibers for scratching posts and heavy-duty climbing.

Natural Elements and Foraging Bits

These smaller items are essential for our daily projects, providing the textures and sounds that keep curious minds engaged.

  • Wine Corks: Fantastic for chewing and lightweight batting toys.
  • Wooden Sticks: Natural, untreated wood for perches and gnawing.
  • Bells and Feathers: The ultimate sensory additions for our feathered and feline friends.

Engineering and Seasonal Shelter

Sometimes the best animal equipment isn’t found in a pet store. We upcycle larger household items into specialized gear designed for safety and warmth.

  • Old Coolers: These are transformed into “Cat Campers.” When lined with straw, they provide a well-insulated, warm sanctuary for outdoor cats during the harsh winter months.
  • Circle Laundry Baskets: These are the primary component for a new spring project currently in development. These baskets provide essential “sky protection” for rabbit nests, acting as a shield against overhead predators.
  • 3D Printer Filament: We accept any color of PLA or PETG to manufacture custom cognitive puzzles and functional gear using our 3D printers.

Everyday Enrichment

Simple items provide endless entertainment and exercise when used creatively in our daily Playbooks.

  • Cardboard Rolls: Toilet paper or paper towel rolls are the gold standard for hiding treats and creating shreddable fun.
  • Tennis Balls: These serve as the “ammunition” for our Slobber Slings! They provide a high-energy way for our active residents to burn off steam while practicing their tracking and retrieval skills. We also use them for brain games by hiding snacks inside for an interactive challenge.

By donating these reclaimed assets, you are directly supporting the whimsical and innovative spirit of the Paws Claws and Talons Foundation. Every bit of “extra” helps us build a safer and more engaging world for the animals we serve.
