🐾 Help Us Build Cozy Cat Shelters from Old Drink Coolers
As winter approaches, outdoor cats face freezing temperatures, wet conditions, and a lack of safe shelter. But with your help, we can turn old drink coolers into warm, weatherproof homes for these vulnerable animals.
🧊 Why Drink Coolers Make Great Cat Houses
Hard-sided drink coolers are ideal for upcycled cat shelters:
- Insulated walls retain warmth
- Waterproof exteriors block rain and snow
- Durable construction withstands harsh weather
- Easy-access lids make cleaning simple
Instead of sending these coolers to the landfill, we’re giving them a second life—and giving outdoor cats a fighting chance.
🛠️ What We Need
We’re collecting donations of:
- Used hard-sided drink coolers (any size, any brand)
- Straw (not hay), or foam insulation
- Duct tape, sealant, vinyl flaps
- Bricks or wood blocks for elevation
Every item helps us build more shelters and reach more cats.
🐱 How Your Donation Helps
Each cooler we convert becomes a life-saving refuge. With your support, we can:
- Build and distribute shelters to neighborhoods with high stray populations
- Partner with local TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) groups
- Educate communities about humane care for outdoor cats
Whether you donate supplies or funds, you’re helping us protect animals who have nowhere else to go.
🌨️ Want to Get Involved?
- Donate supplies: Clean out your garage and drop off old coolers or blankets.
- Sponsor a build: A $15 donation covers insulation and materials for one cat house.
- Volunteer: Help us build, distribute, or spread the word.
🐾 Final Thoughts
Outdoor cats deserve warmth, safety, and compassion. With your help, we can turn forgotten coolers into cozy shelters—and make a real difference this winter.
